Danske Bank probate limit
Danske Bank releases up to £50,000 in the person’s name alone without probate. Above that, it asks for a grant of probate (or letters of administration).
“If the deceased's overall funds with us are £50,000 or over, you will need to have a Grant of Probate (if there is a valid Will) or Letters of Administration (if there is no Will) to close the account(s).”
